Public speaking is a big fear for many people. When beginning a new class, I always have several emotions. There is always an excitement to try something new, but along with that comes the fear of moving outside your personal comfort zone. Meeting new classmates, having a new professor, and learning new material all begins the very first day. Facing a fear is always difficult. It is important to keep a positive attitude, and an open mind. That is exactly what I did with this class. In the first few speeches, I was the most nervous. As the semester progressed, I feel that I improved. I learned so much in this course. It is important to always be confident. Stepping outside your comfort zone is what allows you to grow as an individual. Facing your fears opens the doors to new experiences and accomplishments.
